How every weekly lottery entry helps
By playing the Age UK Weekly Lottery, you're helping us be there for older people when they need us most. With your support, we've helped to raise £59.3* million since 2005. This money has enabled us to fund a variety of services for older people. From free transport to lunch clubs, befriending services to information and advice, you're helping us support older people across the UK. Thank you.
Funds raised via the lottery programme are split between a number of different specific areas of Age UK. These include providing information and advice to those in need, supporting local programmes and funding education and research. You can find out more about each of these vital areas below.
Information and advice
You’ll help to fund our national advice line, a free, confidential national phone service for older people, their families, friends, carers and professionals. It's open 365 days a year, even on Christmas Day! Our practical, expert information guides and factsheets are also funded through the charity lottery. Finally, Age UK Lottery contributions help to fund local advice drop-in sessions provided by Age UK partners - a social lifeline in many local areas.
You'll help our network of over 120 local Age UKs deliver services and social activities to their communities - from quizzes and coffee mornings to exercise classes and computer skills.
Education and research
By playing the Age UK Weekly Lottery, you’ll help us fund our key research which aims to actively seek the views of older people and their carers, helping us to learn more about their specific needs and the problems they face. Age UK can then draw on these findings to raise awareness amongst decision makers, develop public policy proposals and shape policy agendas on a wide range of subjects.

Age UK Information and Advice Lottery CIC Registered Company No.11335248, is licensed and regulated in Great Britain by the Gambling Commission under account number 52373; provides funding for information, advice and related services provided by Age UK and local Age UKs for older people in the UK
Age UK Local Programmes Lottery CIC Registered Company No.11335613, is licensed and regulated in Great Britain by the Gambling Commission under account number 52413; provides funding for local programmes to assist older people – i.e. the work of local Age UKs.
Age UK Education and Research Lottery CIC Registered Company No.11372685, is licensed and regulated in Great Britain by the Gambling Commission under account number 52417; provides funding for research activities that advance education in relation to issues affecting older people in the UK.

£1 per entry. You must be 18 or over to enter. Entries not to be sold to or by anyone under 18 years of age. All proceeds from the Age UK Weekly Lottery go to the relevant Promoter and all profits are donated to Age UK.
All the money from each Lottery ticket goes to that months designated area of support (Information and Advice, Local Programmes and Education and Research) the Age UK Charity then allocates the profits from these lotteries against that months area of support.
