Volunteering with Age UK can be an enormously rewarding experience. Volunteers give their time and effort in so many ways to make an incredible difference to those in later life.
Without volunteers we would not be able to offer the information, advice, help and support to older people who need it, at the time when they need it most. Giving your time as a volunteer will make a huge difference. We have lots of volunteering roles to choose from. We hope you find something you like and look forward to welcoming you to the Age UK volunteering family.
Just 30 minutes of your time a week could make a massive difference to an older person's life. If you're empathetic and good at talking on the phone, you could be a Telephone Friendship Service volunteer.
Can you empathise and listen to older people, be warm and friendly providing time-sensitive information, and commit to at least 4 hours a week for at least a year? If so, you could play an important role as a volunteer on our Silver Line Helpline.
Can you help offer support over the phone to an older person to help them gain access to services and activities that could benefit them? If you can empower older people in this way, volunteering for our Connect and Support Service might be for you.
Could you help customers in our high street shops while raising funds for our vital services?
