Age Cymru appeals to north Wales public to donate Christmas gift boxes for care home residents

Published on 12 November 2019 11:30 AM

Age Cymru is once again appealing to the north Wales public to fill a wrapped shoe box with gifts to help make Christmas a special time for older people living in care homes.

With many care home residents having no close family to visit over the festive period, we hope that having a gift to open may make their Christmas more enjoyable.

All the public need to do is fill a shoe box with gifts such as gloves, scarves, hats and socks to help keep people warm. You could also include traditional stocking fillers such as smellies, small games, puzzles, diaries and calendars. While of course everyone loves chocolates and luxury biscuits over Christmas. Please don't add any second hand or used items to your gift box.

Wrap the box and lid separately with Christmas paper and secure them with an elastic band. Also, please attach a label indicating whether the gifts are suitable for females, males or both. Please do not include any personal information about yourself.

Please drop off your gift boxes at the address listed below by Friday 6 December 2019.

24 High Street, Llangefni, LL77 7NA
