Later Life Links

Age UK's Later Life Links programme supported local Age UKs to develop their 'First Point of Contact' services. This involved providing good quality information, signposts and referrals to other Age UK services and external services, through initial 'triage conversations'.

What was Later Life Links?

The programme provided funding to 6 local partners across the country and aimed to develop effective and efficient service models that provided good quality information, signposts and referrals at the first point of contact within a local Age UK.

The programme also involved the delivery of a number of marketplace events, organised by the local Age UKs involved in delivering the programme, showcasing opportunities, activities, support and advice that were available to older people in their local community.

Later Life Links was delivered across 6 Age UK local sites across England and ran from February 2017 to January 2019.

What was the impact?

Throughout the programme almost 20,000 people were supported across England through quality information and advice, signposts and helpful referrals.

  • Bromley and Greenwich
  • Devon
  • Lancashire
