Health and Wellbeing Alliance

We are working with the Health and Wellbeing Alliance and its partners to reduce health inequalities, improve health services and outcomes for older people and to promote wellbeing.

What is the Alliance?

The Health and Wellbeing Alliance is a partnership between state bodies NHS England, Department of Health and Public Health England and 21 voluntary sector organisations that represent communities who share protected characteristics or that experience health inequalities.

Its main aims are to:

  • ease working between the voluntary and statutory sectors
  • amplify the voice of the voluntary sector and people with lived experience of healthcare to inform national policy
  • co-produce solutions to promote equality and reduce health inequalities

How are we involved?

On 22 April 2017 we were selected join the new Alliance from over 180 organisations that had applied.

As a member, we will be working with the other partners to reduce health inequalities and achieve the best services and outcomes for older people, and to promote health and wellbeing.
