Donate to help people like Tony

Tony's local Age UK helped him find renewed purpose in life. That's only possible with your support.

An unexpected major surgery made Tony re-evaluate his life. He made the decision to give up drinking and looked for ways to overcome his loneliness and isolation.

He was worried about what he would do without alcohol, so he called Age UK Sutton to see how he could get involved. Tony joined the Coffee Talk group, quickly making friends and becoming a regular group member. He says "I have learned to make friends, and now I make a point of talking to new people".

He has since starting going to computer classes and volunteers as a befriender at Age UK Sutton, something he never thought he would be able to do.
